Juanita Duerkop Robbins, LISW CP&AP

Juanita Duerkop RobbinsHi! I'm Juanita Duerkop Robbins. My Master of Social Work is from the University of South Carolina - Go Cocks! My current license in SC is LISW CP&AP. I have attended counselor enrichment training provided by Focus on the Family during two summers, and have been trained to work with the special issues facing Pastors and other Christian Leaders and their families. I've been a social worker since 1983 and since then have worked in all kinds of settings. This has come in handy since I do, or have done, a little bit of everything at OASIS! I have a picture of Christ washing Peter's feet above my desk. I have tried to let this image of being a servant guide my life for a long time now. It is sometimes a hard task. I am always grateful for people who pray for me and all of us at OASIS. I am continually blessed and and humbled by our callings here. I could write a book about God's work over the years at OASIS. Thankfully He only shows me a step or maybe two at a time, like telling me to bring my son home, for I assure you if He had told me all that was to come these many years since back then I would have run shrieking in another direction!! :-) Please call if there is anything you think we can help you with and we will try. May the LORD richly bless you and may His peace rest on you always. JDR

Nancy Winston, LPC

Nancy WinstonThe process of beginning therapy and finding a therapist that is the right fit can feel overwhelming. It is difficult but empowering to ask for help. While making the first step is the hardest, working together we can identify issues and create solutions.

Anxiety, worry and panic can take over your life and struggling with these issues can be exhausting, but you find ways to keep going. I have over 18 years of experience as a counselor. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been trained and find value and results in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Trauma - Focus CBT, all which are evidence based treatment. I have also been trained in Parent - Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), used with children ages 3-8.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, ages 7 and up. My work has included providing therapeutic services to address anxiety, depression, sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, parenting, martial conflicts, self-injurious behaviors, life transitions after divorce, high school students going to college and adjustments to new life situations.

I am a native of Montgomery, Alabama and a graduate of Webster University. I have been an Alabama Crimson Tide fan since the Paul "Bear" Bryant days. I am passionate about my work. I enjoy cooking, traveling, comedy, watching great movies, and am beginning to start gardening which I find to be relaxing. I am a mother of three sons and grandmother of two. I am a Christian and love the goodness of God.

I would love to help assist you in reaching your full potential.

Susan Shealy, LPC

Susan ShealyMany of us today are overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. Beyond the normal stressors, individuals and families deal with a myriad of problems. They can easily be paralyzed by the many decisions that must be made and are often weighed down by strained relationships and seemingly insurmountable circumstances. The good news is that there are solutions and each person has the ability to create and/or experience change within their own lives!

I I am privileged to assist and guide clients as they identify changes needed to create positive life change, to make good, solid decisions and to sustain more productive, constructive behaviors and thought patterns. Many can learn how to direct their life story according to what is best for them in spite of negative circumstances. These life changes can manifest in the form of more rewarding relationships, meaningful work, and the simple satisfaction of a life well lived.

My passion for guiding the healing process came from my own life experiences, from my relationship with a God who created the avenues of grace and forgiveness and from the guidance I received from other wonderful professionals through the years.

My experience and training come from a background in healthcare administration where I was fortunate to counsel families with diverse personal and family issues, a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Music Therapy and a master’s degree in Counseling. My focus and therapy stem from a family systems approach.

Relationship and transformation are at the very core of my counseling and I strive to work in an atmosphere that is safe, supportive and strategic towards a “healing” outcome, whatever your life circumstance.

My specialties include: Anxiety, Depression, Elder Care Issues and Support, Geriatrics, Divorce and related issues, Pastoral Care, Faith based counseling when requested, Personal Growth, and Substance Abuse.

“Meta” is a word stem meaning transforming. You too can transform your life and experience a METAmorphosis.

Life Christian Counseling, LLC

Vicky Stahl, LPC

Vicky StahlI received my Master's Degree in counseling from Liberty University in 2012. While earning my degree, I completed a full-time internship at OASIS Christian Counseling Inc., where I now have my own office (Life Christian Counseling LLC). Additionally, I have had a life full of experiences which I like to call the "School of Hard Knocks." I felt God telling me to get my formal education as a Licensed Professional Counselor and so I did.

I believe Romans 8:28 sums up my life perfectly. It says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Because of my life experiences, God uses me to help instill hope to those who have none, encourage those who need it and teach those in bondage how to live free.

I offer therapy for ages 5 years old through adulthood and believe it's important for a client to feel comfortable in counseling and therefore strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I am also sensitive to the pace of the client's comfort as we progress through therapy.

I have been married to my soul mate for over 20 years and have two amazing children. Originally from Ohio (Go Bucks!), we moved to South Carolina in 1999 in obedience to God's calling.

As a fully Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of South Carolina, I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the South Carolina Counseling Association. Please visit my website for more information Life Christian Counseling LLC.
